Our mission at Desoto Collision Center is to provide our customers with top-notch auto body repairs and exceptional customer service. Desoto Collision Center was founded in 2001 by Ty and Annette Schopp. Ty got his start in the auto body repair industry in 1977, and he worked for several years doing auto body repair work in body shops in Memphis, TN. With his coveted talent in auto frame repair, Ty was recruited by Car-O-Liner in 1985 to sell frame machines and train industry professionals on the newest technologies in auto body frame repair at that time.
In 1991, Ty started a paint booth equipment business that sold Garmat, Inc. products called Mid-South Automotive, Inc. Over 25 years, Ty gained extensive knowledge on the auto body repair industry by working hands-on in body shops across the southeastern United States.
In 2001, Ty and Annette Schopp purchased Kuntz Body Shop in Olive Branch, MS. The business quickly grew as Desoto Collision Center established a reputation of high-quality repairs, excellent customer service, and great insurance company relations. In 2006, Ty and Annette decided to expand their business and opened a new location in Southaven, MS. With the commitment to providing outstanding service to their customers and employees alike, Desoto Collision has since been able to expand into the markets in both Memphis, TN and Oxford, MS.
